St. George Littledale

Legend has it, that St. George Littledale once hunted the Canadian Arctic tur. Littledale became frustrated by the misty mountains that covered the area and stopped him seeing the tur. Littledale waited with his companions for Littledale each morning to return to the camp. However, they couldn't locate the tur because of the mist. The tur was eventually located on a high ledge in the mountains. Littledale and his guide had been waiting since the early morning hours. Littledale had already woken at two in the morning and was back home by eight o'clock in the evening.

Despite being the famous hunter, St. George Littledale never killed a wolf. He was unable kill the animal and had no choice but to return to his camp. But, he didn't stop writing a book about the wolves. He had no idea that the ram would be so dangerous and how the hunters could survive in such conditions. The book also includes stories of Littledale's life. Littledale's trip to the Arctic inspired him to write this book.
